On May 3rd, 2018 the Vaccine and Immunotherapy Center(VIC) at MGH hosted the inaugural Professor Dulcie Coleman lecture in the historic Ether Dome at MGH in Boston. This lecture series, which will take place annually, is hosted by Dr. Mark C. Poznansky, Director of VIC, in memory of his mother, Professor Dulcie Coleman, a pre-eminent scientist and cytopathologist of her time, to celebrate the achievements of women physician-scientists

Marylyn M. Addo, Ph.D., MSc, DTM&H. Professor of Medicine, Chief, Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany, was the first scientist to present in this fascinating lecture series. She spoke on ‘Vaccine development for emerging pathogens: Ebola, MERS and beyond’ and highlighted the remarkable and broad-based clinical and research work that she is directing in Hamburg, Germany.
