Annual VIC Symposium.

The Annual Vaccine and Immunotherapy Center Symposium is being held on January 25th, 2019 in the O’Keefe Auditorium at MGH and we would be delighted if you can join us.

The Plenary speakers in the first-morning session between 8:00 AM and 9:30 PM will be Dr. William Carson, President, and CEO of Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development and Commercialization, Inc. and Dr. George Savage, Cofounder and CMO of Proteus Digital Health, Inc. Bill and Georges’ talk is titled ‘Digital Medicine: Journey from Silicon Valley to FDA Approval.’

The later morning session beginning at 10:30 AM will feature presentations from VIC team leaders highlighting their current translational research projects and their development of new vaccines and immunotherapies for infectious diseases, cancer, and type 1 diabetes.

The Round Table panel discussion beginning at 1:30 PM, will be moderated by Dr. Dennis Brown, the Director of the MGH Office of Research Career Development on the topic of ‘Building Research Career Success at the Interface Between the Bench and the Bedside. Panel members will be Drs. Sylvie Breton, Nick Dyson, Tayyaba Hasan, and Ruxandra Sîrbulescu. This will be of particular interest to Ph.D. scientists at MGH and their mentors.
